heyhey.....

YOU'RE a fucking long islander..... alright man i should have figured it after i remember seeing you in the PIX you posted on the boat with some other lowlife from this forum (just kiddin'........ lowlives)....

i grew up in islip. are you from the island originally? you must be, if you're livin out near the STEPHENS TALKHOUSE!! that name instantly brought me to the east end of the island..... careening down a dark street at night through the tall grasses of summer and the wet salty air streaming through the windows and my buddy is passing a bottle of wine around in the back seat.... one time we went careening into a big curb at a corner that came out of nowhere and sunday morning was very rough indeed. very rough, reporting that broken and twisted axel that would need towed back to islip.

i miss it this time of year, not living there in a long time. the DEAD run at stonybrook in 71 wasn't that great, i have finally admitted to myself after listening many times. but, it still holds a place as one of the tapes i had as a kid, blasphemously careening down those little east end streets and camping out by one of the big 1920's summer homes that create their own little beach weather around the starry sky shooting up flares on a fall night:

[...]wah wah garcia, 10-30-70.....sugar mags

wait....this show aint so bad.......

Islip??? I'm in Babylon. "Up-Island" for Cliff.

My freind said the $100 is the new $20, so for $20 I'd be first in line for Hot Tuna. I just don't have $20.

Since the show was last night I guess it is moot.

Hey Cliff, did you end up going?
